Pineland Farms Natural Meat's roots trace back to the first Organic/alternative beef operation in the country. Originally located on a small Atlantic coast family farm called Wolfe's Neck Farm in Freeport, Maine, this program has dramatically expanded over the years and now encompasses a cooperative production approach working hand in hand with over 250 farms in the Eastern half of the United States.
These farms are vested in humanely raising their livestock by providing the animals with a clean, stress free environment that includes production practices that never allow the use of antibiotics, growth hormones or feed animal bi-products resulting in what we believe to be the finest tasting beef anywhere!!
Today,Pineland Farms Natural Meats is part of a larger organization committed to educating farmers on sustainable agricultural production practices. Pineland Farms is an organization that includes a world class dairy, artisan cheese facility, hydroponic greenhouses and expanding vegetable operations. It is also the site for Pineland Farms Natural Meats research and demonstration facility, Collyerbrook Farm. Pineland is also the site for ongoing recreation activities including cross country skiing, hiking and equestrian events. The Collyerbrook facility is continuously conducting pasture based production trials that can be replicated throughout the Northeast.
